BluebulbAPI
    GET

    List rates

    GET{baseUrl}/api/rates

Returns every currency pair Orbita currently offers, with the rate in each direction.

    Authentication

Send your API key and a request signature on every call. Requests must also come from an IP address on your allowlist — see Authentication.

    Headers

    x-api-key
    required
    string
Your API key, <appId>.<secret>. See Authentication.
    X-Signature
    required
    string
Base64 RSA-SHA256 signature of the request. See Request signing.
    X-Signature-Timestamp
    required
    string
Unix time in milliseconds used in the signature. Must be within 5 minutes of Orbita's clock.

    Behaviour

Each pair appears once, base currency first — in the order EUR, GBP, USD, CAD, AED, RMB, CNY, KES, RND, NGN — so NGN is always toCurrency (e.g. usd→ngn, eur→usd). buyRate is that direction and sellRate the reverse. If Orbita only offers the reverse direction, the pair is listed that way round instead.

Only active, public rates are returned. Special rates approved for your business are returned by List quotes instead.

To look up a single pair, pass fromCurrency and toCurrency — see Get a pair rate.

    Response

data is an array of rate objects. Every response is wrapped in the standard envelope.

    data[].fromCurrency
    string
    Currency you convert from.
    data[].toCurrency
    string
    Currency you convert to.
    data[].buyRate
    number
Rate for converting fromCurrency → toCurrency, as people quote it. For NGN pairs it's naira per unit of the other currency — e.g. 1550 for usd→ngn (₦1,550 for each $1 you convert). For other pairs it's toCurrency per 1 fromCurrency, e.g. 1.08 for eur→usd.
    data[].sellRate
    number | null
Rate for the opposite direction (toCurrency → fromCurrency), quoted the same way for that direction. For NGN pairs it's also naira per unit, so it compares directly with buyRate — e.g. 1600 for ngn→usd (₦1,600 for each $1). For other pairs it's fromCurrency per 1 toCurrency. If Orbita isn't currently offering that direction, this is the last recorded rate and you can't convert at it; null when there's none.
